Georges Hilliet, the son of a rowboat fisherman, created the La Belle-Iloise Conserverie in 1932 near the fishing port of Quiberon, in Brittany, Western France. Since then the business has remained family operated for the last 85 years with the focus maintaned on the highest quality ingredients and sustainably caught fish, and is currently run by George's Granddaughter, with a their cannery still in Quiberon.
