Ditaloni sprung from Ditali, a short pasta shape with its roots in Neapolitan origin, they were also made and appreciated in Genoa. The shape of Ditaloni takes its inspiration from a thimble. The pasta is extremely flexible and is perfect to use in soups and broths.
