J.Vela alegrías riojanas. Rioja 'joy' is a variety of hot 'guindilla' pepper native to the region of La Rioja, Northern Spain, usually associated with Wine. They are named for the "joy" that brings to the palate when eaten because of their hotness.
Roasted with Beech wood from the north of Navarra. Great accompaniment to meats, omelettes, sandwiches and other dishes.
Conservas J. Vela was founded in 1892 in Lodosa, Navarra, Northern Spain. Founded by Ramón Vela who began roasting the region's famous Piquillo Peppers in a wood oven in the traditional way.
