Maçarico Piri-Piri Hot Sauce is prepared with the finest selection of piri-piri peppers from the best national producers, after picking, the peppers are ground to a paste and preserved to ensure the freshness, natural colour and taste.
Started in the 1930s by Domingos Ribeiro Macarico selling ready to eat olives, he pioneered selling the typically Portuguese variety of tree ripened “Galega” olives. Later the Portuguese Macarico brand branched out into sauces and pickles amongst other food products.
