Made with pork leg and fillet and flavoured with black pepper and spicy Calabrian chilli, Soppressata picante is a dry salami which has been given the extra kick of chilli and finished by being pressed to shape in wooden boards.
Starting as a pig farm in 1984 by the Madeo family in Calabria, southern Italy, the family quickly established a butchers shop selling meat from their pigs before establishing themselves as a purveyor of fine cured meats.
